Resume
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major global health problem. About 1.3 million people died from TB in 2022, including 167,000 people with HIV. More than 10 million people become ill with TB every year, a slight increase compared to previous years. These findings highlight the need to strengthen global efforts to prevent, diagnose and treat TB to achieve the World Health Organization and UN goal of ending the TB epidemic by 2030.
Key words: tuberculosis, body mass index, age, MDR-TB
