CLINICAL AND RADIOLOGICAL MANIFESTATIONS OF PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS IN PATIENTS WITH RELAPSE OF THE DISEASE

Resume

Tuberculosis is common in every part of the world. There is not a country where tuberculosis has been eradicated. Patients with relapses of pulmonary tuberculosis are great epidemic danger due to massive bacterial excretion. Materials and methods of research. A comprehensive examination of 160 newly diagnosed and 66 patients with relapses was carried out. Conclusions: the main clinical forms of tuberculosis among patients with relapse were dominated by destructive forms of the disease. Pronounced residual changes in the lung tissue at the end of course of therapy are potentially more active and increase the risk of recurrence of the tuberculous process in the lungs. Reactivation of tuberculosis is more often observed in socially unprotected segments of population and in those suffering from chronic alcoholism.
