Resume
The aim of the study: to evaluate the functional state of the autonomic nervous system in athletes of various sports. Materials and methods: the functional state of male athletes (n=65) aged 15 to 19 years, differing in the type of sports activities, was assessed: 32 football players (49.2%) and 33 athletes involved in athletics (50.8%). The control group consisted of 30 people of identical age and gender who are not involved in sports. The characteristic of the initial vegetative tone with the definition of the leading mechanisms of regulation was formed according to the method of A.M. Vein. Statistical data processing was carried out using a standard statistical software package. Results: in the evaluation of hemodynamics in football players, a mixed type of blood circulation was detected, which is necessary for the body to maintain a sufficient reserve balance during the period of maximum physical activity, which was manifested in an increase in the heart rate against the background of low blood pressure and increased vascular peripheral resistance. Whereas a characteristic feature of changes in adaptive hemodynamics and blood circulation in athletes involved in track and field was the vascular type. At the same time, in the group of football players, a relationship between the occurrence of headaches and a decrease in blood pressure was reliably more often noted (75.0%) and, as a result, a decrease in activity was noted (90.6%). For athletes involved in track and field, sleep disorders (63.6%), irritability (87.9%), as well as concentration and attention disorders (72.7%) were recorded significantly more often, against 15.6%; 62.5% and 59.4% in the group of football players. Evaluation of the vegetative status revealed that morning asthenia in football players occurred twice as often, amounting to 40.6%, and in the group of track and field athletes the frequency of these symptoms was 24.2%. Interpretation of the data from the questionnaire of A.M. Vein in the examined groups showed the predominance of vagotonic vegetative tone in the group of football players in relation to the group of track and field athletes (31.3% against 9.1%; P <0.01), the eutonic variant was noted with the same frequency in both groups (9.4% versus 9.1%, respectively) , while the sympathicotonic type was reliably more often noted in the group of track and field athletes - 30.3%, versus 9.4% in the group of football players (P<0.05). Conclusions: in the group of athletes involved in track and field, sympathetic regulation prevailed, and in the group of football players, parasympathetic activity prevailed. Signs of dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system were 1.6 times more often detected in the group of football players. And control of the level of anxiety indicators revealed that the state of reactive anxiety was most characteristic of track and field athletes, while signs of personal anxiety were characteristic of football players.
