DIAGNOSTIC IMPORTANCE OF EARLY MARKERS OF KIDNEY DAMAGE IN ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION

Resume
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with CKD. Most patients with CKD die from cardiovascular complications before reaching CKD stage 5. The pathophysiological mechanism of CKD is characterized by excessive stimulation of RAAS, oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis and dyslipidemia. Dyslipidemia is an unfavorable lipid profile that occurs in about a third of patients, which complicates their treatment. Patients with CKD are usually characterized by high triglycerides and low HDL cholesterol, normal or slightly reduced LDL cholesterol. LDL cholesterol is not a reliable predictor of cardiovascular risk in patients with advanced CKD.
Keywords: CKD, GFR, HDL, LDL, triglycerides.
