Resume

This article presents the results of studying the components of the body weight of boys in Almaty. A total of 1225 schoolchildren of 7-14 years old were studied. Analysis of the data obtained indicates that air pollution in boys leads to an increase in weight due to fat and muscle components. At the same time, in boys of the “dirty” zone compared to the “clean” zone – the fat mass of boys is significantly higher at 10 and 12 years old, and muscle mass is significantly higher in boys at 9, 12 and 16 years old. The total increase in bone mass in children in the “clean” zone is greater than in the “dirty” zone. Thus, the effect of air pollution on the tissue components of body weight is heterochronous. The greatest differentiation is shown by signs subject to the action of environmental factors (muscular and fat components of the soma), the least – genetically determined signs (skeletal system).
