Resume
This article presents an analysis of the knowledge, attitudes, and behavioral factors of women of reproductive age regarding heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) and iron deficiency anemia (IDA). The study included an online survey with 1000 women. The data covered aspects of gynecological and obstetric history, lifestyle, treatment and prevention methods, as well as the impact of HMB on reproductive health. The results showed that 50.9% of respondents were insufficiently informed about the importance of iron and trace elements, and 36% had not sought medical help for HMB symptoms. 46.3% of women reported miscarriages associated with IDA, and 75.1% experienced difficulties with conception. Lifestyle factors, including low physical activity (26.3%), were linked to cycle disturbances and an increased risk of complications. The primary treatment methods for HMB were hormonal therapy (46.9%) and iron supplements (18.8%), although 18.1% of women did not receive treatment. The results emphasize the need for educational programs, screening, and individualized approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of HMB and IDA to improve women's reproductive health.
