Resume
Extragonadal germ cell tumors (EGT) are a rare germ cell tumor in men, accounting for 2 to 5%. Seminoma is the most common histological form of germ cell tumors [1,2]. Visceral metastases from seminoma occur in <5% of patients and usually occur in advanced stages of the disease. Seminoma can rarely metastasize to the kidneys, and metastases to the gastrointestinal tract are least likely with an incidence of <1% [3]. We present a rare case of metastatic retroperitoneal seminoma in a 26-year-old man with thrombosis of vena cava inferior (VCI).
Key words: retroperitoneal space, seminoma, vena cava inferior
