Resume

Spondylodiscitis of the thoracic and lumbar spine is a complex inflammatory disease requiring timely diagnosis. This study analyzed 117 patients who underwent surgery between 2020 and 2023. The results showed that the disease is most commonly observed in the lumbar spine and predominantly affects patients aged 45–75. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was identified as the primary diagnostic tool, while laboratory tests assist in determining the causes of the disease. The study highlights the importance of a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment to improve patients' quality of life
