REGIONAL ASPECTS OF THE PREVALENCE OF ANAL ATRESIA IN CHILDREN WITHIN THE STRUCTURE OF ANORECTAL MALFORMATIONS

Resume

The article presents the results of a statistical analysis based on data regarding the number of infants and newborns hospitalized with anorectal malformations in the surgical department of the Andijan Regional Multidisciplinary Medical Center (ARMCC) from 2015 to 2020. The study aimed to examine the proportion of infants with anal atresia among children with congenital anomalies and analyze associated congenital malformations. During the specified period, a total of 508 newborns with congenital anomalies were hospitalized. Among them, 174 children had gastrointestinal tract anomalies, accounting for a significant proportion of the total cases. Out of the children with gastrointestinal tract anomalies, 82 infants (16,1%) were diagnosed with anal atresia.
