Resume

One of the main systemic diseases of the skeleton is osteoporosis, characterized by a decrease in the strength of bone tissue, which leads to an increased risk of fractures. A set of quantitative and qualitative characteristics, such as bone mineral density (BMD), bone metabolism, bone mineralization, etc. determine bone strength. Osteoporosis is often diagnosed after a fracture, due to the gradual development of the disease, which is why it is called a "hidden epidemic". According to the WHO, osteoporosis is the fourth most important disease after infectious, cardiovascular, tumor and endocrine pathology. The maturation and aging of the population is one of the main reasons for its steady growth. Also of no small importance is the deterioration of the living environment, low physical activity, excess body weight, which is associated with immune, metabolic and other disorders. Osteoporosis affects more than 80% of women aged 50 and older, as well as almost all women and men over 75 years old
