THE SIGNIFICANCE OF LABORATORY MARKERS IN THE PROGNOSIS OF POSTPARTUM SEPTIC COMPLICATIONS

Resume

This article is dedicated to the study of the significance of laboratory markers for the diagnosis and prognosis of postpartum sepsis. Sepsis is a highly serious and dangerous complication in the postpartum period, which, if not diagnosed in time, can lead to severe consequences for the health of both the mother and the child. The article discusses various laboratory markers of sepsis, such as C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT), interleukins, and other immunological indicators. The role of these markers in the early diagnosis of sepsis and their importance for predicting the disease are examined, as well as methods that can be used by doctors to work with postpartum sepsis cases using these markers. The article also emphasizes the dynamics of the markers and their practical significance, as these approaches help in timely intervention and preventing disease progression.
