Resume
The thyroid gland directly performs its actions on the functioning of the gonads through its hormones. Excess thyroid hormones lead to changes in testicular function. In rats with a thyrotoxicosis model, the testicular epithelium thickened significantly in all areas compared to the control, and it was found that when treated with mercazolil, the epithelium was partially restored, when treated with mercazolil and castor oil, the thickness of the epithelium was slightly improved, and when treated with mercazolil and olive oil, the epithelium was significantly restored, approaching the epithelium of the control group. In rats with a thyrotoxicosis model, collagen fiber bundles in the testicular endothelium were significantly thicker in all areas compared to the control group, while in both conventional and non-conventional treatments, collagen fiber bundles in the endothelium were significantly thinner than in the thyrotoxic group, with greater recovery in the group treated with mercazolyl and olive oil.
Key words: rat, testicles, thyrotoxicosis, protein membrane, collagen fiber bundles.
