Resume
The human microbiota plays a crucial role in maintaining health, including during pregnancy, when changes in the microbiota composition can influence the course of pregnancy and the development of complications. Studies have shown that microbiota imbalance, including vaginal and intestinal microbiota, is associated with conditions such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, urinary tract infections, preterm birth, and other obstetric pathologies. The influence of the microbiota on immune, metabolic, and inflammatory regulation can significantly affect the health of the mother and fetus. The use of probiotics, dietary therapy, and antibiotics are the primary methods for correcting microbiota disturbances in pregnant women. Maintaining a healthy microbiota composition through diet and probiotics helps prevent infectious and inflammatory complications, promoting a normal pregnancy.
Keywords: Microbiota, pregnancy, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, urinary tract infections, probiotics, dietary therapy, dysbiosis, inflammation, immune response.
