Resume

Fractures of the lower jaw within the dentition are considered primarily infected, since due to a violation of the integrity of the gum mucosa, opportunistic microflora of the oral cavity penetrates into the fracture gap. In order to prevent the development of purulent-inflammatory complications of injuries of this localization during traditional conservative therapy after immobilization of the jaws, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed. Along with the positive effects, their use is associated with the emergence of new problems: the higher the activity of the drug, the more pronounced its side effects. A significant increase in complications from drug therapy prompts specialists to look for alternative treatment methods. A universal tool for the treatment of trauma and inflammation of various types, etiology, localization and at any phase of the disease is the drug Traumeel S. This article outlines the rationale for its use in the complex treatment of patients with mandibular fractures.
