Hyperandrogenism syndrome is considered one of the leading causes of menstrual irregularities, endocrine infertility and miscarriage [1,2]. The cause of hyperandrogenism in women of childbearing age may be polycystic ovary syndrome, a nonclassical form of congenital adrenal cortex dysfunction, androgen-secreting tumors, severe insulin resistance syndrome, idiopathic hyperprolactinemia and thyroid pathology, in particular hypothyroidism. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and thyroid hypofunction are the most common endocrine disorders among women of reproductive age. According to studies of thyroid disease, mainly hypothyroidism, autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) and PCOS are closely related. Hypothyroidism and AIT can cause PCOS, worsen a woman's condition and worsen the metabolic, reproductive, and psychological complications of PCOS. This article shows the results of a diagnostic search for the genesis of hyperandrogenism in 220 women with impaired menstrual and/or reproductive function and symptoms of hyperandrogenism.
