Resume

Despite the accumulated experience and successes of traumatology, the percentage of failures in the treatment of peri- and intra-articular fractures of the humerus remains high. The share of mediocre and unsatisfactory results for both the patient and the doctor for this type of injury accounts for 8.3-67.0%. In bone injuries, fractures of the distal humerus, which form the elbow joint, serious errors in diagnosis and treatment tactics are made, which subsequently lead to unsatisfactory results. For fractures of the distal humerus, we try to anatomically correctly match the articular surface, achieve rigid fixation and begin early development. The specificity of the clinical and radiological picture of the elbow joint area, depending on the patient’s age, leads to numerous diagnostic errors in the treatment of injuries to the elbow joint
