Resume

Most studies on phlebological topics published in all languages of the world begin with familiar phrases about the epidemiology of varicose veins of the leg, where the same figures published several decades ago are repeatedly mentioned from article to article, showing that at least 25% of the adult population suffers from varicose veins of the leg and chronic venous insufficiency. Nevertheless, epidemiological data are of great importance in the treatment of the disease.
