Resume

The course of COVID-19 with systemic inflammatory reactions and hypercoagulation in the body directly affects the structural function of the placenta. A mild course of coronavirus infection is characterized by the presence of viral inclusions in the cytoplasm of the placental cells of the pregnant mother, while compensatory reactions give a pathomorphological picture, and a severe course is characterized by chronic histiocytic intervillusitis and necrosis in the syncytiotrophoblast, accumulation of fibrinoid compounds in the cavity of the placental nipple. Information about pathomorphological changes in the placenta is important for the correct application of treatment measures at different stages of pregnancy, prevention of observed complications, and the study of pathomorphological changes in the placenta of a pregnant mother infected with coronavirus is important for the future child and the mother's body.
