THE ROLE OF BREASTFEEDING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN WITH DOWN SYNDROME: CURRENT RESEARCH TRENDS AND STATISTICS

Resume

Breastfeeding is an important factor contributing to the optimal development and health of children, including children with Down syndrome. Despite the possible difficulties associated with the features of this syndrome, many mothers successfully breastfeed their children, which brings significant benefits for the immune system, the development of orofacial muscles and the general condition of the child. Breastfeeding has many benefits, contributing to strengthening the immune system, developing body muscles and improving health. This article discusses the relevance of breastfeeding for children with Down syndrome, the goals and methods of research, the results obtained, discussion, as well as statistical data and recommendations for medical professionals and parents.
