Resume
The article presents the possibilities of using computed tomography in staging head and neck tumors. The staging of head and neck tumors is based mainly on the anatomical description of the extent of the process. The staging of head and neck tumors, as shown by radiological practice, is not always considered as the main clinical indication for CT and MRI studies in these patients and, accordingly, in the protocols of radiological descriptions, characterization of key anatomical points is often absent, according to the involvement of which the prevalence of the tumor is judged.
