ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTS OF TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH LOCALLY ADVANCED COLON CANCER AND RECTOSIGMOID JUNCTION

Resume

This study was performed on the basis of the coloproctology department of the Republican Medical Specialized Scientific and Practical Center of Oncology and Radiology in Tashkent. Locally advanced colon and rectosigmoid junction cancer was detected in 196 patients: 123 men (62.8%) and 73 women (37.2%). All patients diagnosed with stage II-IV colorectal cancer received surgical treatment in the Department of Coloproctology of the Republican Medical Specialized Scientific and Practical Center of Oncology and Radiology. Among patients with locally advanced rectal cancer, the primary tumor size in the T category has a significant effect on the OS index (p=0.026, 5-year overall survival (OS) at T2 66.7±27.2%, T3 - 65.8±12.3%, T4 - 20.8±17.1%), OS=3.575, p=0.015.
