THE ROLE OF NEUROIMAGING AND BIOMARKERS IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF LEUKOENCEPHALITIS IN CHILDREN

Resume
Leukoencephalitis in children is an inflammatory disease of the white matter of the brain, which can lead to serious neurological consequences. Early and accurate diagnosis of this condition is crucial for timely initiation of therapy and improved prognosis. This article examines the role of neuroimaging methods and biomarkers in the diagnosis of leukoencephalitis in children. Modern approaches to the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and analysis of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) to identify specific changes characteristic of this disease are discussed. The choice of neuroimaging method in children with brain pathology is determined by both the clinical indications for the study and the resolution capabilities of the methods.
