Resume

Despite the accumulated experience and successes of traumatology, the percentage of failures in the treatment of near- and intra-articular fractures of the humerus remains high. The share of mediocre and unsatisfactory results for both the patient and the doctor in this type of injury accounts for 8.3-67.0%. In bone injuries of fractures of the distal humerus forming the elbow joint, serious diagnostic errors and treatment tactics are made, which later lead to unsatisfactory results. In cases of fractures of the distal humerus, we try to anatomically correctly match the articular surface, achieve rigid fixation, and begin early development. The specificity of the clinical and radiological picture of the elbow joint area, depending on the patient's age, leads to numerous diagnostic errors in the treatment of elbow joint injuries
