Resume

Purpose of the study. To study morphological and functional shifts in primary and secondary liver lesions, regenerative processes stimulated by mumijo Methods. The experiments were carried out on 229 white rats weighing 140-180 g, which were on the usual laboratory diet. Toxic damage to the liver was caused by subcutaneous injection of CCl4 at the rate of 0.12 ml per 100 g of body weight every other day for 25 days; ulcerative lesion of the colon - oral administration of the product of metabolism of biogenic amines phenol at a dose of 3 mg per 100 g of weight. After CCl4 and phenol poisoning ceased, mumijo was administered at a dose of 5, 15, 30 and 50 mg per 100 g of weight every other day for 30-35 days, and animals with allergic ulcerative colitis - daily at 25 mg per 100 g of weight for 14 days . Results. In case of toxic damage to the liver (CCl4), mumijo caused an improvement in the glycogen- and protein-forming function of the liver. In nonspecific ulcerative colitis, oxidative metabolism is reduced, the restoring effect of mumijo under these conditions is expressed in a unilateral increase in mitochondrial conjugation without normalizing the intensity of respiration. Conclusion. Our studies, supported by biochemical data, show that the properties of mumiyo as a stimulator of regeneration are most pronounced in the treatment of secondary hepatitis that occurs due to ulcerative lesions of the colon
