Resume
The level of expression of the immunohistochemical proliferative marker Ki-67 was assessed and the index of cell proliferation in endometriosis of various organs was calculated. A total of 28 cases of endometriosis were analyzed, of which: 8 cases of lesions of the cervical canal, 6 - myometrium, 7 - fallopian tubes, and 9 - ovaries. The expression of the Ki-67 protein associated with the phases of the cell cycle and proliferative activity were evaluated using an immunohistochemical method. According to the data obtained, the expression level of this nuclear antigen varied depending on the anatomical localization. The results showed that the proliferative index of this marker is low in the epithelium and stroma of the myometrium, low in the epithelium of the cervical canal, moderate in the stroma, moderate in the epithelium of the fallopian tube, low in the stroma, very high in the epithelium of the ovary, moderate in the stroma. Morphological analysis showed that Ki-67 expression, as an indicator of mitotic activity, was observed at various subcellular levels — in the nucleus, karyoplasm, and nuclear structures. This indicates the presence of cells in different phases of the cell cycle- G1, S, G2 and M. It was found that the localization of Ki-67 exclusively in the cell nucleus corresponds to the G1 phase, the detection of the marker both in the nucleus and in the karyoplasm indicates the G2 phase. Thus, differences in the level of Ki-67 expression in endometriosis of different locations reflect the heterogeneity of proliferative activity, which may have diagnostic and prognostic significance, as well as the potential for personalized treatment tactics.
