Resume

The article is devoted to evaluating the effectiveness of a personalized approach to prescribing antibiotic therapy for complicated intraabdominal infection. A prospective observational study was conducted including 128 patients divided into two groups: standard empirical therapy (n=64) and personalized therapy based on local microbiological monitoring (n=64). The personalized approach showed significantly higher clinical effectiveness (76.6% vs. 59.4%, p=0.037) and microbiological effectiveness (82.8% vs. 65.6%, p=0.027), as well as reduced duration of antibiotic therapy, ICU stay and overall hospitalization.

Keywords: intraabdominal infection, personalized antibiotic therapy, microbiological monitoring, antibiotic resistance.
