Resume

Today, among chronic liver diseases that have a significant economic and social impact on society with their severe complications, chronic viral hepatitis B occupies a special place. Due to the high risk of developing liver cirrhosis and liver cancer because of this disease, early detection and effective treatment of this disease have a significant positive effect on improving the quality of life of patients and increasing their survival. Studying the importance of hematological indicators, which are convenient due to their availability in all treatment and prevention institutions, in the early diagnosis of chronic viral hepatitis B, and using them as an early diagnostic criterion for this disease can yield effective results

Keywords: hepatitis B virus, anemia, thrombocytopenia, hepcidin, vitamin B 12, liver cirrhosis
