EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF METHYLXANTHINE THERAPY IN APNEA IN PREMATURE INFANTS

Resume

This article examines the effectiveness of caffeine citrate in premature infants with sleep apnea syndrome. In a study of 120 premature infants, the frequency and duration of episodes of sleep apnea, as well as the effectiveness of therapy, were analyzed. The results showed that treatment with caffeine citrate reduces the frequency of apnea attacks, stabilizes infants' breathing and prevents the development of complications. A comparison with the literature data indicates the high efficacy of caffeine citrate in the prevention and treatment of apnea in premature infants [2]
