Resume

The aim of the study was to study the clinical and demographic characteristics of patients with various pituitary adenomas with secondary empty Turkish saddle syndrome, depending on the treatment received Research materials and methods. A total of 113 patients with pituitary adenomas and secondary SPTS who applied to the outpatient clinic in the period 2023 were examined. 20 healthy individuals of the appropriate gender and age formed the control group. The results of the study. Significantly, there were significant decreases in the levels of the tropic hormones LH and FSH in all groups compared with the control group. Hypopituitarism, known as a deficiency of one or more pituitary hormones, was found in 98 patients out of 113 (86.7%). In particular, isolated gonadotropin deficiency was found in 26 patients. Isolated secondary adrenal insufficiency was detected in 3 (2.6%) patients with ACTH-HSC, isolated growth hormone deficiency in 2 (2.9%). Conclusions. 1. The most pronounced changes in hormonal levels were observed in patients with ACTH-CSC. According to hormonal assessment, plasma levels of FSH, LH, ACTH, cortisol, and svT4 were significantly lower in this group of patients. 2. Complications of pituitary adenomas were cavernous invasion in 41.1% of cases, compression of the chiasm in 25.7%, hypopituitarism in 24.3%, hypogonadism in 70.0%, diabetes insipidus in 4.8%, pituitary apoplexy in 2.65%, cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea in 1.76% and ventricular bypass surgery. with hydrocephalus in 0.88% of cases. None of them had a statistically significant association with any type of adenoma.
