Resume
Acne vulgaris is one of the most common inflammatory skin diseases characterized by a chronic course and a marked impact on quality of life. Modern approaches to acne treatment increasingly include device-based methods aimed at reducing inflammation, seborrhea and bacterial activity. The aim of this study is a comparative evaluation of the efficacy and tolerability of laser therapy (Nd:YAG 1064 nm) and photodynamic therapy with aminolevulinic acid in patients with papulopustular form of moderate acne. The study included 60 patients divided into two equal groups. The conducted therapy showed a significant reduction in the number of inflammatory elements, improvement of GAGS index and quality of life. Both methods were found to have high clinical efficacy. At the same time, photodynamic therapy provides a more pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, but is accompanied by a greater number of transient adverse reactions, such as photosensitivity and burning. Laser treatment demonstrates better tolerability. The obtained data confirm the relevance and validity of the application of modern physical therapy techniques in the complex therapy of acne
