COMPLICATIONS FOLLOWING CIRCULAR RESECTION FOR TRACHEAL STENOSIS: A COMPREHENSIVE LITERATURE REVIEW ADHERING

Ismatov J.K. - Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina

Resume

Tracheal stenosis, characterized by narrowing of the tracheal lumen, may arise from congenital anomalies or acquired factors such as trauma, infection, or prolonged intubation. Circular resection with end-to-end anastomosis presents significant challenges due to associated surgical complications. This review discusses early and late complications including airway obstruction, bleeding, restenosis, and the debated efficacy of stenting. Advances in minimally invasive techniques, the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration, psychological considerations, and standardization in reporting are emphasized as critical to improving surgical outcomes and patient quality of life
