ROLE OF CONTACT ALLERGENS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHRONIC DERMATOSES IN INDUSTRIAL WORKERS

Oripov R.A. - Samarkand State Medical University

Resume

Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is one of the most common occupational skin diseases, especially among workers in the industrial sector. The development of chronic dermatoses is due to repeated exposure to contact allergens such as nickel, chromates, epoxy resins, formaldehyde and other chemical compounds used in the production process. The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of these allergens in the formation of sensitization and development of chronic skin inflammation in representatives of various industries. The clinical and epidemiological study confirmed the high prevalence of sensitization to industrial allergens and revealed the lack of effectiveness of preventive measures in the workplace. The results emphasize the need for early diagnosis using patch tests, widespread introduction of personal protective equipment and personnel training on skin health issues.

Keywords: allergic contact dermatitis, occupational dermatoses, industry, sensitization, patch test, contact allergens.
