COMPARATIVE CHARACTERIZATION OF LIMITED AND DIFFUSE NEURODERMATITIS

Resume
Neurodermatitis (atopic dermatitis in adults) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with severe itching, disruption of the skin barrier and recurrent course. Depending on the prevalence of the process, limited and diffuse forms of the disease are distinguished, which differ in clinical manifestations, degree of severity of inflammation and response to therapy. In the present study, a comparative analysis of limited and diffuse neurodermatitis in 60 adult patients was performed. Clinical features, pruritus level, IgE values, severity of inflammation and severity of the condition according to the SCORAD scale were studied. The results showed that the diffuse form is characterized by a more severe course, systemic allergization and marked impairment of quality of life. The identified differences allow us to justify the need for an individualized approach to the diagnosis and treatment of various forms of neurodermatitis.
Keywords: neurodermatitis, atopic dermatitis, limited form, diffuse form, pruritus, SCORAD, IgE, chronic inflammation
