THE ROLE OF DERMATOSCOPY IN THE EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF MELANOMA

Resume

Skin melanoma is one of the most malignant neoplasms with an aggressive course and high mortality rate. Patient survival rates are directly related to the stage at which the tumor is detected, underscoring the critical importance of early diagnosis. Dermatoscopy, a non-invasive method of visualizing skin microstructures, significantly improves diagnostic accuracy compared to conventional clinical examination. The article reviews the key dermatoscopic signs of melanoma, analyzes their diagnostic significance, and provides data on the effectiveness of the method in detecting early stages of the disease. The results of the study demonstrate high sensitivity and specificity of dermatoscopy and emphasize its important role in the differential diagnosis of melanoma
