Resume
The increase in human echinococcal disease noted in recent years indicates the need for a more thorough study of this topic. Each form of the disease requires a unique diagnostic approach, which often combines serological examination, the use of radiation imaging techniques and histological analysis. The introduction and development of modern methods for the diagnosis of echinococcal disease is a highly relevant task, and the immunohistochemical study presented in the article is a highly specific and highly sensitive method for verifying echinococcal cysts. It was found that with the growth of an echinococcal cyst of the liver, necrotic processes first develop, which lead to inflammation, mainly productive, followed by the formation of a fibrous capsule. T-lymphocytes and macrophages predominate among the cellular infiltrate around the parasite. With high proliferative activity of blood vessels, reparative processes in the liver are reduced. The use of this technique makes it possible to differentiate echinococcal cysts from malignant tumor-like formations, which is important for further prognosis of the disease
Key words: diagnosis of liver echinococcosis, immunohistochemical study, cystic echinococcosis, alveolar echinococcosis, liver echinococcosis
