Resume
Hepatic echinococcosis, especially in endemic regions, is a serious medical problem. Complications such as cyst penetration into the biliary tract with the development of obstructive jaundice occur in 10–30% of patients and significantly worsen the clinical course of the disease. This article presents a retrospective analysis of the clinical and laboratory diagnosis, as well as the effectiveness of endoscopic and surgical treatment methods in hepatic echinococcosis with biliary tract rupture. Clinical data from 75 patients were analyzed. The main focus was on the most common symptoms, biochemical indicators, ultrasound and ERCP findings, endoscopic and laparotomic interventions, and postoperative complications. According to the study results, early diagnosis and endoscopic decompression play a crucial role in reducing postoperative complications and mortality. Nevertheless, the high rates of echinococcosis recurrence and late complications indicate the need to further improve modern antiparasitic and preventive approaches.
Key words: hepatic echinococcosis, biliary tract, rupture, obstructive jaundice, cholangitis, endoscopic diagnosis, surgical treatment, complications, recurrence.
