Resume
Parkinson's disease is one of the most widespread neurodegenerative diseases affecting millions of people worldwide. This disease primarily occurs in people over 60 years of age, and its prevalence continues to increase with population aging. According to World Health Organization data, Parkinson's disease affects approximately 10 million people globally, and this number is expected to increase further in the future. The main pathophysiological mechanism of Parkinson's disease is associated with the progressive loss of dopamine-producing neurons in the brain. As a result of this process, patients develop motor system disorders, including the main symptoms such as tremor, muscle rigidity, bradykinesia (slowness of movement), and postural instability. Additionally, with disease progression, cognitive function impairment, depression, and other non-dopaminergic symptoms also emerge
