Resume
The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic, also known as Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), presents an unprecedented global challenge to the medical field, not only due to its rapid spread and high mortality rate but also because it triggers various complex immunological processes in infected patients. Despite the official declaration of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic period by the WHO, the effects of COVID-19 on the musculoskeletal system continue to emerge. Various rheumatologic conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system occur in 30-40% of patients infected with COVID-19, one of which is COVID-19-associated reactive arthritis. The distinction between this type of arthritis and other forms of reactive arthritis is that its causative agent is SARS-CoV-2 infection. This article examines the significance of cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-17 in COVID-19-associated reactive arthritis, correlating them with the clinical and laboratory parameters of the disease
Key words: Covid-19-associated reactive arthritis, urogenital etiology, monoarthritis, oligoarthritis, polyarthritis, SARS-CoV-2 IgG, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-17
