TREATMENT RESULTS OF NASO-ZYGOMATIC-ORBITAL COMPLEX INJURIES USING 3D TECHNOLOGIES

Resume

Injuries of the naso-zygomatic-orbital complex are among the most complex and urgent problems of modern maxillofacial surgery. According to the World Health Organization data, NZO complex injuries constitute 40-45% of all maxillofacial trauma. These injuries most commonly result from road traffic accidents (65%), sports injuries (20%), and criminal incidents (15%). The naso-zygomatic-orbital complex is an anatomically extremely complex structure that includes the zygomatic bone, orbital walls, nasal bones and their interconnections. Traditional surgical methods are mainly based on surgeon's experience and intuition, which leads to subjective assessment and often causes unsatisfactory results. The above demonstrates the relevance of conducting comprehensive scientific research on the application of modern 3D technologies in treating NZO complex injuries. Based on the results of this study, it will be possible to develop effective treatment protocols and recommendations in this field.
