Resume
The article presents a review of modern literature devoted to the clinical and biomechanical aspects of rehabilitation of children with post-traumatic contracture of the elbow joint. Definitions and pathogenesis of contracture, methods of diagnosis and evaluation - both clinical and instrumental - are considered, as well as traditional and innovative methods of treatment are compared: conservative approaches, surgical interventions, combined protocols. The limitations of existing studies, financial, technical and motivational barriers, the influence of age, start time of therapy and type of injury on the effectiveness of restoring the range of motion and elbow functionality are analyzed. Conclusions were made about the need to develop standardized protocols, introduce biomechanical models, new technological solutions and comprehensive support for the patient and family.
Keywords: Elboar joint contracture, children, rehabilitation, clinical and biomechanical approach, range of motion (ROM), surgical and conservative methods, innovative technologies, evaluation and diagnostics
