Resume
According to the authors, the analysis of data from global and domestic practice confirms that the increase in the prevalence of obesity worldwide, including in Uzbekistan, leads to an increase in the number of bariatric interventions. However, the long-term results of treatment, especially the problem of PPROM, have not been sufficiently studied and poorly predicted. The main risk factors for PPROM are post-operative anatomical changes, hormonal and metabolic disorders, behavioral and psychological aspects, as well as socio-economic conditions. The authors conclude that addressing the issue of PNMT after bariatric surgeries in Uzbekistan requires a comprehensive approach, including adapting international protocols, developing infrastructure, and raising awareness among patients and specialists, which will improve treatment effectiveness, reduce the risk of recurrence, and improve the quality of life of patients.
Keywords: obesity; bariatric operations; RPMT - repeated gain of body weight; Type 2 DM is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
