Resume
This study aimed to improve treatment outcomes of proximal humeral fractures by introducing a minimally invasive extramedullary osteosynthesis technique. A total of 105 patients were examined: 65 in the main group and 40 in the comparative group. The main group underwent minimally invasive plate fixation assisted by an external reposition device, while the comparative group received conventional treatments such as plaster immobilization, open reduction with fixation, or traditional plating. Clinical and functional outcomes were assessed using the Constant Shoulder Score. In the main group, 89.2% of patients achieved “excellent” results, which were significantly higher compared to the control group (P<0.001). Conclusion. Minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis with external reposition assistance is an effective and safe method for the management of proximal humeral fractures and can be considered a rational approach in modern traumatology.
Keywords: shoulder, comminuted fracture, minimally invasive, osteosynthesis.
