Resume
Immunohistochemical studies of myocardium in patients with chronic ischemic heart disease were performed primarily using the following markers: desmin. The desmin marker used in this study is a protein structure found predominantly in the intermediate filaments of myocytes that form the myocardium. It serves as a scaffold factor that determines muscle contractility and is found in the sclera and cardiac muscle. This intermediate filament protein is expressed predominantly in the cytoplasm of cardiomyocytes, acquiring a rich golden-yellow color, along with uniform expression of components of healthy muscle tissue. It is characterized by homogeneous yellow staining of the cytoplasm.
Keywords: immunohistochemistry, morphology, chronic ischemic heart disease.
