Hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) are among the most serious issues in modern healthcare, posing a threat not only to patients but also to healthcare personnel. The article discusses the main causes, transmission routes, and risk factors of HAIs, as well as effective preventive and control measures. Emphasis is placed on the importance of infection control systems, adherence to aseptic and antiseptic rules, sterilization, and sanitation monitoring. The implementation of comprehensive preventive measures significantly reduces the incidence of hospital-acquired infections and improves the overall quality of medical care.
