Resume

This study evaluated the impact of lifestyle factors—sleep duration, eating patterns, and physical activity—on body mass percentiles in the development of metabolic syndrome among adolescents aged 12–18 years in Bukhara city. A total of 70 participants were included in the study and divided into two groups based on body mass percentiles: 85–97 and >97. The results showed that 76.2% of girls and 70% of boys in the >97 percentile group had insufficient physical activity. Sleep duration was also significantly associated with body mass, with the majority of adolescents in the >97 percentile group sleeping less than 5 hours. Regarding eating patterns, irregular eating was more common among girls in the higher percentile group, whereas boys tended to have regular eating habits. The study findings are of significant scientific and practical importance for identifying early stages of metabolic syndrome, assessing risk groups, and developing preventive measures.
