Falls are among the leading causes of injuries worldwide, often resulting in hospitalization and long-term disability. Their outcomes range from minor contusions and sprains to severe musculoskeletal injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and internal organ damage. This article examines the mechanisms of fall-related injuries, risk factors, clinical features, modern approaches to first aid, diagnosis, treatment, as well as preventive strategies.
