Resume
The purpose of this study was to study the relationship between the immune profile and the metabolic syndrome in patients with chronic purulent rhinosinusitis. A comprehensive analysis of clinical, immunological and biochemical parameters was performed in patients suffering from chronic inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, accompanied by purulent secretion. The levels of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines, immunoglobulins of various classes, as well as parameters of metabolic metabolism, including lipid and carbohydrate spectra, were studied. It was found that patients with a combination of chronic rhinosinusitis and metabolic syndrome have a pronounced imbalance of the immune response, manifested by an increase in the concentration of IL-6, TNF-α, IgE and a decrease in the level of IL-10, which correlates with the severity of the clinical course of the disease. The data obtained confirm the existence of a close relationship between metabolic disorders and changes in the body's immune reactivity, which determines the need for an integrated approach to the diagnosis and treatment of such patients.
Key words: chronic purulent rhinosinusitis, cytokines, metabolic syndrome.
