MORPHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF THE HEART TISSUE OF 3-MONTH-OLD WHITE OUTBRED RATS

The heart is often exposed to pathological effects of endogenous and exogenous influences, which not only disrupt its functioning, but also lead to the development of various pathological processes throughout the body. Studying the normative morphological features of the heart tissue allows for the early detection of ischemic heart diseases, which are currently increasing, and the prevention of complications. This article presents the normative morphological and morphometric characteristics of the heart tissue of 3-month-old white outbred rats (heart weight (gr), parenchyma (%), stroma (%), cardiomyocyte diameter (μm), cardiomyocyte nucleus (μm), cardiomyocyte nucleus %, sarcoplasm-sarcomere %, blood-vascular unit (μm3)).
