Resume

This article presents the results of a study on the effectiveness of stepwise diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms in children with combined chest and retroperitoneal injuries. The role of structured evaluation using clinical, laboratory, and instrumental methods, including X-ray, ultrasound (US), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as well as a multidisciplinary approach in treatment decision-making, is highlighted. Data on the effectiveness of implementing these algorithms are provided: improved early detection of hidden injuries, reduced number of unjustified surgeries, increased proportion of minimally invasive interventions, and decreased frequency of complications. The practical significance of standardizing diagnostic and treatment approaches for optimizing medical care in children with severe combined injuries is emphasized.

Key words: Childhood trauma, combined injuries, chest, retroperitoneal region, diagnostics, examination algorithm, multidisciplinary approach, minimally invasive intervention, complications, treatment of children.
