Resume
Screening women for HPV, in combination with liquid cytology, carried out on a mandatory and regular basis, allows 57.1% of women infected with HPV to identify in the early stages possible oncological risks of the most common neoplasms of the cervical canal, amenable to preventive therapy. Cervical smears were examined by PCR for the presence of HPV DNA - 39,740 women aged over 30 years and 1,908 of them had liquid cytology for early diagnosis of cervical cancer. The present study showed that the HPV infection rate was 11.2%. All HPV isolated in the collected samples belong to high oncogenic risk genotypes. Based on the results of liquid cytology, 15 women examined (0.8%) were diagnosed with an already irreversible stage of cervical cancer.
